Tips to NYS Crime Stoppers Lead to her Identity, Theresa Clinding Charged with Grand Larceny in New Rochelle

On June 26, 2012, NYS Crime Stoppers received information identifying Theresa Clinding as the person seen in a surveillance video from a restaurant in New Rochelle, N.Y. After further investigation, the New Rochelle Police issued a warrant for her arrest. She has been avoiding capture and arrest for several weeks. NYS Crime Stoppers in cooperation with the New Rochelle Police Department offered a reward of up to $2,500 for information, regarding the exact whereabouts and arrest of Theresa Clinding, believed to be the black female who entered the basement of the Rangoli Restaurant located at 615 Main Street in New Rochelle , N.Y. on May 26, 2012 at approximately 6:25 pm and removed $13,000 from the safe. The same woman is believed to have committed similar crimes at three restaurants in Stamford, Connecticut and one business in Cross River, N.Y.

On September 3, 2012, Theresa Clinding was arrested by Nassau County Police based on another crime she is alleged to have committed in Nassau County. New Rochelle Police issued a warrant and on September 27, 2012 Theresa Clinding was brought to New Rochelle and charged with Grand Larceny and Burglary in New Rochelle City Court.
