Reward Offered: Hit-and-Run of a New York State Trooper (NYSCS Case #2022-105)

(NYSCS Case #2022-105) Port Chester, NY – On September 8, 2022, at approximately 8:45 p.m., a marked State Police car was parked on the shoulder of I-95, southbound, in the area of mile marker 14.9 (between exits 16 and 17).  An unknown vehicle traveling southbound struck a State Trooper who was walking back to their patrol car after removing debris from the roadway.  The Trooper was injured and transported to the hospital for treatment.  The vehicle failed to stop and continued south on I-95.

The Trooper was treated for multiple injuries at Westchester Medical Center and has since been released, continuing recovery at home.  State Police are still seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle that left the scene of the crash.
