On March 4, 2009 at 3:51 p.m. Sean R. Hibbert was located and arrested based on an anonymous tip from the public received by New York State Crime Stoppers after a reward had been offered for information leading to the an arrest and conviction for the person(s) responsible for a City of Poughkeepsie shooting. After receiving the tip, Poughkeepsie City Police immediately mobilized and flooded the area with Detectives and Hibbert was located and arrested without incident. At the time of his arrest, Hibbert was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun. New York State Crime Stoppers once again is proven to be a valuable tool for law enforcement. The City of Poughkeepsie is safer thanks to the collaboration of New York State Crime Stoppers, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, the news media and the public.
