New York State Crime Stoppers, in cooperation with the White Plains Department of Public Safety is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information the directly leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the sexual assault of a 7-year-old girl in that city. On 4/20/13 at approximately 6:48 pm a male black entered the Walmart Store, located at 275 Main Street in the City of White Plains. The suspect did allegedly stalk the 7-yr-old victim by waiting for the child to separate from her parent, further lured her away, and sexually assaulted her.

 The suspect is described as a male black, believed to be in his mid-twenties, approximately 6’0” in height with a medium build. At the time of this incident the suspect was wearing a Louis Vuitton ball cap, with the letters LV on the front. Dark colored jeans and green colored sneakers.

The initiative began today with the posting of an appeal for tips on a Lamar Advertising digital billboard located on Interstate 81 regarding both Sherry Schaub, a thirty year old female resident of Syracuse, N.Y found deceased on October 31, 1998 in a dry creek bed under a bridge in Pompey, Onondaga County, N.Y and Stephen Forbes, a 28 year old Baldwinsville, N.Y. resident found deceased on August 19, 1980 in a heavily wooded area off a small dirt roadway leading South off Route 20 in Lafayette, Onondaga County, N.Y. Mr. Forbes blue 1977 Dodge Pick-up truck was found in the long term parking lot at Hancock Airport in Syracuse at approximately 12:00 noon  on July 8, 1980.

Stephen D. Forbes

On July 11, 1980 Stephen D. Forbes, age: 28, 373 Village Green Apartments, Baldwinsville, NY, was reported missing by family members, having been last seen on July 8^th at approximately 12:00 Noon. Mr. Forbes had been driving his blue 1977 Dodge pickup which was later discovered parked unattended in the long term parking lot at Hancock Airport in Syracuse. The truck is believed to have been parked in the lot shortly after 3:00 PM on July 8^, 1980. During the investigation it was reported that Mr. Forbes had been seen leaving a friend’s residence on Vine St. in Liverpool, NY at approximately 2:00 PM on July 8, 1980.  Mr. Forbes was a business partner with William Wallberger in the “Novel -T Shirt Store” on Route 48, Phoenix, NY. On August 19, 1980, the body of Mr. Forbes was discovered in a heavily wooded area off of a small dirt roadway leading South off Route 20, in the Town of Lafayette, OnondagaCounty. Also located in this area was discarded construction debris and garbage.

 In collaboration with Waterkeeper Alliance, The New York State Police, county and local law enforcement as well as our sponsors and the public NYS Crime Stoppers new Smart Phone App will be a driving force to combat crime throughout New York State.

This new mobile application, which is a free download for anyone with a smart phone, gives the average citizen the ability to have a crime fighting and public safety tool where ever they go. The app provides the ability to locate and get turn by turn directions to any police department, anonymously send a phone tip, email tip or a photo tip while on the go and communicate with NYS Crime Stoppers, either directly or through social media from anywhere while never giving up your identity or phone number. If citizens provide information on highlighted tips they may also be entitled to a cash reward of up to $2,500.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., President of Waterkeeper Alliance expressed his gratitude to NYS Crime Stoppers in giving the people of New York a way to help protect their precious watershed and prosecute those who violate our environmental laws regarding our water system.

Miss Kolodziej, who was 17 years old at the time, was last seen on November 2, 1974, leaving the Vault Bar in the Village of Cobleskill and was apparently walking back to her Campus at SUNY Caobleskill.

New York State Crime Stoppers in cooperation with the Peekskill Police Department is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the shooting of a male victim found shot in a vehicle on Pine Street in Peekskill, N.Y. in the early afternoon of October 3, 2012. Anyone with information that would lead to those responsible should immediately call the NYS Crime Stoppers Hotline 1-866-313-TIPS (8477). A reward will be paid to the person who provides infromation that directly leads to the aresst and conviction of the resposible parties in this crime.

Early Saturday morning, September 29, 2012, a female subject (victim) who was waiting to be picked up by the representative of a friend at the intersection of Dyckman Street and Broadway, in the Inwood section of Manhattan, was approached by an unknown subject (suspect) whom she mistakenly believed was the ride she was expecting. The victim entered the suspects vehicle and shortly after discovered she had errantly entered the incorrect vehicle. The suspect refused to allow the female victim to leave the vehicle and subsequently prceeded to drive the victim into the City of New Rochelle on the New England Thruway (I-95) in Westchester County.

The suspect forcibly took the victims cellphone and wallet, preventing her from securing assistance. As the vehicle was approaching Exit 16 on I-95 the victim seized an opportunity to escape from the suspect and jumped from the moving vehicle. The suspect left the scene without stopping. The suspect is described as a dark skinned black male, between 5’4″ and 5’8″ with a goatee (around mouth). He is further described as well groomed and well dressed. The suspects vehicle is described as a BMW SUV, white in color with tinted windows, probably an X5.

Anyone with information that may lead to the suspects identity and whereabouts or any infromation about this case, including the vehicle that was used can anonymously call the NYS Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-866-313-TIPS (8477). On May 17, 2012 at approximately 5:00pm an 18 year old female was walking on the trails behind St. Matthews church in Bedford when a man described as a white male, approximately 6’2′ tall weighing approximately 220 to 230 lbs approached her from behind and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect had salt and pepper hair combed from front to back with a full beard with one to two inches in growth, He was wearing a heather grey t-shirt, faded blue jeans and black shoes.
