Wanted: Justice For Stephen D. Forbes

NYS Crime Stoppers in cooperation with The NYS Police, Oneida Major Crimes Unit is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Stephen D. Forbes.

On July 11, 1980 Stephen D. Forbes, age: 28, 373 Village Green Apartments, Baldwinsville, NY, was reported missing by family members, having been last seen on July 8^th at approximately 12:00 Noon. Mr. Forbes had been driving his blue 1977 Dodge pickup which was later discovered parked unattended in the long term parking lot at Hancock Airport in Syracuse. The truck is believed to have been parked in the lot shortly after 3:00 PM on July 8^,1980. During the investigation it was reported that Mr. Forbes had been seen leaving a friend’s residence on Vine St. in Liverpool, NY at approximately 2:00 PM on July 8, 1980. Mr. Forbes was a business partner with William Wallberger in the “Novel -T Shirt Store” on Route 48, Phoenix, NY. On August 19, 1980, the body of Mr. Forbes was discovered in a heavily wooded area off of a small dirt roadway leading South off Route 20, in the Town of Lafayette, OnondagaCounty. Also located in this area was discarded construction debris and garbage.

Reward Offered Regarding Cortlandt Robbery/Assault

New York State Crime Stoppers in cooperation with the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations in Cortlandt, N.Y. is offering a reward of UP TO $2,500 for information, such as the identity and whereabouts of two male perpetrators believed to have assaulted and robbed a 54-year-old male developmentally disabled male resident of the Mohegan Park Home for Adults located in Cortlandt, N.Y.

The robbery occurred in front of the group home for adults at State Route 6 and Lexington Avenue at approximately 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2012. The victim was approached by two young male suspects as he was on the pathway back to the facility. He was approached from the Lexington Avenue area, assaulted and robbed. The victim was taken to Hudson Valley Hospital where he was treated and released.

Anyone with information regarding this incident, such as the identity and /or whereabouts of the perpetrators is asked to immediately call the NYS Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-866-313-TIPS (8477). Tip Leads to Initial Suspect’s Arrest – Two More Suspects Charged, One More Suspect Sought In Gas Station Robbery

A tip to NYS Crime Stoppers led police to Leonard King, 23 of New Rochelle (pictured above) after a reward was posted on June 5, 2012. King was arrested by New Rochelle Police on June 6, 2012. New York State Crime Stoppers in cooperation with the New Rochelle Police Department is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information such as the identification and whereabouts of the remaining fourth suspect responsible for the robbery of the Sunergy Gas Station located at 690 Main Street opposite Webster Avenue in New Rochelle.

On September 26, 2012 New Rochelle Police reported that two more suspects. Jonathon Bryant of Brooklyn, NY and Cory Elliot, address unknown, pictured below were charged by New Rochelle Detectives with first degree robbery. One accomplice has yet to be charged in the robbery. Information provided to NYS Crime Stoppers regarding the recent two suspects charged was immediately brought to the attention of New Rochelle Detectives who investigated further and charged them.

On Saturday, May 12, 2012 at approximately 6:30 p.m. three black males entered the Gas Station. One of the alleged suspects brandished a black semi-automatic handgun believed to be a Glock and robberd three patrons and two attendants. An undisclosed amount of cash, between 3,000 and 10,000 in scratch-off Lottery tickets and cigarettes plus the personal property of three customers and one attendant was stolen.

$2,500 Reward Offered Regarding Missing Person, Possible Abduction

New York State CrimeStoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to information regarding mssing person who may have been abducted from a Brooklyn Disco. Anyone with information is asked to call the hotline at 1-866-31-TIPS.

On May 7, 1974, Valerie Lorraine Cuccia went to a Brooklyn Disco with a friend. The friends separated and Miss Cuccia was later seen with two white males as she entered their vehicle, described as a passenger vehcile witha metalic finish. Valerie was never seen again. It is beleived that Miss Cuccia may have been forced into the vehicle against her will and taken out of state, possibly to Massachusetts.

Any information, however insignificant it may seem, could help to solve this case.

Reward Offered Regarding Death of Kim Simon

New York State Crime Stoppers has offered a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the death of 16-year-old Kimberly Simon. Miss Simons body was found by a Sheriff’s Deputy and his canine partner in a dense area less than one mile from her home at approximately 12:30 p.m. on September 19, 1985.

Kim Simon was last seen walking Southbound on Mohawk Street at approximately 6:30 p.m. on September 18, 1985. She was apparently on her way to meet a female friend at the local school.

New York State Crime Stoppers Seeks Donations to Help Solve Teenagers Rape and Murder

New York State Crime Stoppers Director Robert Keller announced today that the organization is seeking donations to facilitate their offering of a sizable reward to assist the Oneida County District Attorneys Office in solving the 1985 rape and murder of 16-year-old Kimberly Simon.

On the early evening of September 18, 1985, 16-year-old Kimberly Simon left her home to meet a girl-friend. She never arrived and never returned home. Every parents worst nightmare was about to unfold at the Simon Household. The following day, at approximately 12:30 pm on September 19, 1985, after an extensive search, Kimberly Simon’s partially clothed, beaten, sexually assaulted and deceased body was found by a Sheriff’s Deputy and his canine partner in a dense and wooded area in Whitesboro, a small town within the jurisdiction of Oneida County New York, less than 1-mile from her home.

Kimberly Simon’s parents have gone through years of pain and anguish waiting for justice and some closure regarding the death of their precious daughter. NYS Crime Stoppers Director, Robert Keller said, “We are seeking donations so we can offer as large a reward as possible to help Oneida County District Attorney’s Investigators find the person or persons responsible for this horrid crime and give Kimberly Simon’s parents the closure they have been waiting for and the justice Kimberly deserves”.

Sonia Centeno was a City of Poughkeepsie resident whose body was found on August 4, 2006 in a shallow grave at a vacant farm in the Town of Lagrange east of Poughkeepsie New York. Ms. Centeno was described as a Hispanic female approx 5’3”, 117lbs, 44 years of age with a winged lion tattoo on her chest.

A tip helped Putnam County Sheriff’s Investigators solve the murder of beloved Garrison tow truck driver John Marcinak. Robert Keller, Director of New York State Crime Stoppers stated,”An anonymous tip pointed investigators in the right direction, which is what this program is designed to do.” New York State Crime Stoppers requested anyone with information call the NYS Crime Stoppers Hotline 1-866-313-TIPS (8477).

According reports, Mr. Marcinak was found laying on Route 9, in front of his Auto repair garage at approximately 12:30 pm on December 31, 2008. Putnam County Sheriffs’s Investigators arrived on the scene and began an investigation immediately. Information is what fuels criminal investigations and that’s where New York Crime Stoppers comes in. A reward offering was issued through the media and via reward flyers. The flyers were circulated by Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputies and by New York State Crime Stoppers.

A reward is likely to be paid to the person who provided the tip in this case according to the programs director, Robert Keller now that there has been a conviction in this case.
